
ABOUT/BIO
Darryl Noel-Davila is a young multi-instrumentalist, rapper and producer based in London. He has worked with a variety of artists including James Rae, Vladimir Ashkenazy and Paul Carrack. He has also performed at some of Britain and Europe’s most prestigious venues such as The Royal Albert Hall, Birmingham Symphony Hall, Cadogan hall, Slovak Radio hall and Notre Dame.
He was a scholarship student at the Royal College of Music Junior Department, where he won the woodwind prize in his final year under the tutelage of Alex Allen (Thurston Quartet, Birmingham Opera and Carl Rosa Opera)
He currently studies clarinet with Michael Wight (RPO) and saxophone with Gerard Mcchrystal (BBC Concert, Philharmonia) at Trinity Laban Conservatoire, and also teaches clarinet as part of Newham’s Every Child A Musician initiative, the UK’s largest and most successful musical programme.
Darryl has done recording work on some very exciting projects including recording with Paul Carrack and the RPO at Abbey Road Studios, and recording a collection of Sousa’s works for NAXOS with Sousa expert Keith Brion.
He produces hip-hop tracks under the name Bxrbarian, utilising sampling from a variety of interesting sources as the basis of his beat making. He also raps on many of his tracks, usually with a very lyrical, wordplay and punchline driven style. The majority of his hip-hop work is frequently uploaded to online sharing sites such as SoundCloud and youtube.
